Seminar Consultations on the Development of the Digital Economy and Innovation Held in Bokhtar and Kulob
On May 14–15, 2026, seminar consultations on the topic “Development of the Digital Economy and Innovation” were held in the cities of Бохтар and Кӯлоб.
The events were conducted under the leadership of Khatlon Region Deputy Chairman Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid and Deputy Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Yazdonzoda Isfandiyor Hamrokul. The seminars were aimed at the effective implementation of the state digitalization policy and the expansion of the digital economy at the local level.
During the seminars, representatives of the Agency delivered reports and presentations on the priority areas of the state digitalization policy. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Medium-Term Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, the development of digital infrastructure, the expansion of public services through the Unified State Services Portal, the digitalization of administrative processes in government institutions, the use of modern information and communication technologies, and the application of artificial intelligence opportunities in the development of economic and social sectors.
Issues related to workforce training, the development of technological skills among public sector employees, and the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation were also discussed.
The events brought together 600 participants, including heads of departments and divisions of the executive authorities of Khatlon Region, deputy chairpersons of cities and districts for economic affairs, heads of organizations and institutions, and representatives of relevant structures.
At the conclusion of the seminars, it was emphasized that the digitalization of the economy and the broad use of innovative technologies are among the key factors for ensuring sustainable national economic development, improving the efficiency of public administration, and enhancing the standard of living of the population.
