International relations are considered one of the most critical areas of the university's activities. The university consistently implements international agreements with numerous foreign higher education institutions to conduct joint scientific research, professional retraining, development and publication of books, acquisition of educational literature and modern technology, and professional development of university staff.
The university has cooperation agreements with more than 45 universities in the Russian Federation, 18 universities in the European Union, and 15 universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as 8 universities in the People's Republic of China, the USA, and other foreign countries, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
Since the beginning of the academic year, virtual classes have been conducted across university faculties by professors from the Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin. These classes are ongoing and will continue until the end of the 2025-2026 academic year, expanding to other faculties as well.
Digital Initiatives: On December 17, 2025, initiated by the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan for cooperation in establishing a digital government system in Tajikistan.
As part of the international program “Seeds for the Future,” supported by Huawei, Jovidon Kulobiev, a 3rd-year student specializing in Information Technology Software, was sent for an internship to Dongguan and Shenzhen, China, from August 2 to August 9, 2025.
Furthermore, within the framework of the European Union project “Team Europe Initiative on Digital Connectivity in Central Asia,” university lecturer Ahmadjon Boboev was delegated to the e-Governance Academy of the Republic of Estonia for international training from November 16 to November 21, 2025.
The university is a partner in the European Union's ERASMUS+ “Open Food Innovation University (OFINU)” project. Through this project, 10 professors participated in training seminars in Latvia, Slovakia, and Uzbekistan, earning international certificates. Additionally, laboratory equipment worth 280,000 TJS was supplied to the university's lab complex under this initiative.
Specifically, under the aforementioned project, a training seminar was held at the university from October 14 to October 17, 2025, featuring 3 specialists from Latvia and 2 from Slovakia for faculty and students. Throughout 2025, more than 10 foreign experts from the Russian Federation, Latvia, Slovakia, India, Iran, and Uzbekistan were involved in the university's teaching and training processes.
In collaboration with Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, 30 researchers and doctoral students were granted access to their digital library. Additionally, a joint research project with Shihezi University (China) titled “Development of Core Technology and Functional Products of Lactic Acid Bacteria Fermentation for Improving Juice Nutrition” has been developed and submitted.
