The Department of Digital Economy

The Department of Digital Economy is one of the university’s important educational and scientific divisions, carrying out its activities in the training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of digital economy, information technologies, and digital management.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 25 instructors are employed at the department, including:

  • 4 Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors;
  • 5 Senior Lecturers;
  • 16 Assistants.

Some members of the academic staff work as full-time employees, internal part-time staff, and external part-time staff. The department possesses strong scientific and pedagogical potential, and its instructors actively participate in educational, research, methodological, and student development activities.

Among the active faculty members of the department are Kurbonov F., Isupova Kh.P., Sharipov R.M., Ashurova D.Kh., Rajabov A., and Yusupova Sh.F., who make significant contributions to the department’s activities.

There are 7 research applicants conducting scientific research at the department. In particular, the department’s researcher Rustam Sitora Rustam successfully defended her PhD dissertation on April 14, 2026, at the Dissertation Council 6D.KOA-109 of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. The dissertation topic was: “Improvement of the Mechanism for Ensuring Regional Economic Security (Based on the Example of the Khatlon Region of the Republic of Tajikistan)” in the specialty 5.2.3 — National Economy.

The department’s instructors make a significant contribution to the preparation of educational manuals, scientific articles, academic curricula, and the organization of scientific conferences. At the same time, modern teaching methods and digital technologies are widely used to improve students’ knowledge and practical skills.

The Department of Digital Economy continues its systematic activities aimed at improving the quality of education, developing scientific research, and training competitive specialists.
